Don't bet what you cannot afford to lose - This is generally known as the golden rule of sports betting and is a thing you absolutely do not want to do because you'll hit a cold streak eventually and lose all your rent money.

Do not pay for picks from touts promoting a 70% win rate - If it sounds too good to be true it probably is so if you are going to use going to utilize a tout and pay for picks use common sense. No-one can pick 70% winners even the very best handicappers only hit 58% or situs toto 59%

Keep good records - This is an issue that almost nobody does and I am even guilty of this sometimes. You want to keep very meticulous records. The better you keep track of you can look back and see where your losing or winning the most money and after that possess the prop data to make changes.
