However, not everyone is aware of how to get this katana nor of what exactly it entails. So with that in mind, let's break down the method of getting the Nagakiba, the questline it's involved in, and all the other rewards you'll be able to get along the way.

This area houses a lot of good items, such as a Golden Seed , some weapons, and even the final step of Iron Fist Alexander's questline which will yield the powerful Shard of Alexander . Overall, it's a lovely secret area with a small price for admission.

There are no upgrade materials in the cave though players will also get their Stonesword Key refund in the cave as it's one of the items scattered in the area. Players will need to prepare themselves for the boss in the area though since the Crystalians can be unfair and annoying without a blunt weapon to make quick work of them.

Once again, a named NPC will invade and players must defeat them to get the weapon. As for Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear, they’ll have to travel to Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum and defeat the Lord of Blood himself in order to get his weapon. All of these weapons are not necessary to have on hand, but they make for a nice range of options. Of the three, though, Rivers of Blood is the most usable, so go for that one at the very least. Of course, these will all need to be upgraded in order to get the full effect.

So, players need to simply walk out of the Third Church of Marika Site of Grace and kill the troll. Rinse and repeat until the desired number of Runes or levels are achieved. The third Church of Marika is located in Western Limgrave just north of the Mistwood Ruins. It's a rather peaceful spot except for a lone troll walking around near the entrance of the ruined church . It just so happens that these trolls give 1,000 Runes per k

There's no chat function in-game, so you'll need to find a willing trade partner or benefactor using any other method be it the Elden Ring discord, social media, or some other method. As always, the hard part of this method is finding someone willing to part with their Nagakiba as dual-wielding it is quite a popular option for Bleed builds, and many people want two of these katanas.

For any of you who have already reached the Mountaintops but missed a step in Yura's questline, don't worry, Eleonora will still always invade the first time you go to the Second Church of Marika, and Yura's Nagakiba can be found sitting wherever you last spoke with Yura as well, be that Murkwater Cave or one of his other locations.

Defeat it and then look around in the ruined buildings for a basement preceded by a Stonesword lock. Inside this basement or underground cavern is a chest that contains the Green Turtle Talisman . It's a lifesaver of a talisman since it increases stamina recovery speed. For some melee characters or builds, this might even be necessary.

At the moment, the consensus seems to be that there are three weapons that compliment a bleed build best: the Rivers of Blood katana, Eleonora's Poleblade and Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear . To get the Rivers of Blood , players will need to go to the Church of Repose on the Mountaintops of the Giants . Upon arriving there, a named NPC will invade. Defeat him to claim the katana. Eleonora's Poleblade can be obtained at Second Church of Marika on Altus Plateau .

The last method of obtaining the Nagakiba involves very little effort compared to the other methods, and it's asking for it (for free or from a trade) from other players online. It's obviously a pretty 'lame' way of getting this weapon, but not everyone wants to do entire NPC questlines for a singular weapon. Additionally, for those of you on NG+ runs or on new characters, this method is understandably less involved and easier to do. In any case, if someone agrees to the 'trade', players can create a private game and have someone else drop their spare or unwanted Nagakiba katana in-game.
